Limp Bizkit is nu-metal. Periphery are the Metallica of djent, by that I mean the first big one. And I agree, very talented but don't care for 'em.

I've played a real Rverb, too long ago to do a proper tone comparison, but I remember it was capable of modern metal. I guess Rob's is tuned differently. He did say he could mod it for more saturation, but it wouldn't be switchable.

I guess if you are jonesing for a high gainer, but I do really like mine.

Definitely more of a classic, lower gain metal sound. It does not have the saturation for newer, modern metal.

I would have thought the Ultra-Lead would be more towards the organic, since everything I've heard says Fryettes are not very saturated high gain amps.

The Digitech GSP1101 is pretty cool in that you can do 4CM to have effects pre and post preamp, and since its been out for a while fairly inexpensive. Has a global graphic EQ and a switchable semi-parameteric EQ. It also uses MIDI, which I believe the 100 and 50 use for channel switching...
