actually you could set both cabs to 4 ohms mono, or 16 ohms mono. It would be fine, If you play big shows set them both to 4 and it will be louder I would imagine, and a small show both on 16.

I THINK that you would be ok as long as you don't put the master over half. Does the cab have a 16 ohm setting? That would actually reduce the watts on the head more.

I now use the Eminence Texas Heats with a Fender MetalHead cab I found used for like $250!! It has the Celestion G12T's or G12K-100's, I can't remember which.The sound together is perfection! Eminence with Celestion is the way to go!

Yeah, those Texas Heat's give me an exellent clean through my V2. My other cab is a B-52 rated at 400 watts, and the clean channel SUCKs through it! Speakers are HUGE when it comes to the tone! My only complaint about the Texas Heat speaker, might be a touch too much bass...but that's controllable.

I decided to go with Eminence. I like Celestions, but i think almost all of them are too midrange powerful. And I wanted to add some color to my sound. So eminence worked out for me.

I bought 4 Eminence Patriot Texas Heat speakers, and loaded them into my older Crate cab(built like a tank). Now that is some CHUNK! They are not crystal clear, but I wanted some color added to the sound. So I think this was my best move to make! And now I have a 600 watt cab! So I have plenty...

Boomy? Where did you have the Density and all that? Also does that mean that it was a punchy bass? My Crate 4x12 w/no ports is punchier than my B-52 4x12 w/ ports, because the bass response is smoother. At least with my setup, I don't know if that's normal.
