    Barely used Randall RM4 preamp (I use an RM50 combo and an RM100 head instead now). Asking $400. Continental U.S. only, and Paypal only to a verified address. (My wife's Ebay i.d. is "miafrunt" if you want to read recommendations, etc.) Price excludes shipping.

    I'm really really curious how well the RM4, etc, works as a preamp into the effects return on the Bandit. Anyone tried it?

    Super V, or a modded Top Boost, which mod has best results?

    Maybe not helpful, but I found that the Super V sounds almost exactly like the TopBoost with the resistor mod to avoid input overload, except the Super V sounds best to me with all tone knobs at noon, and I had to tweak the TopBoost a bit to get it to sound like I like.

    I'm still not sure what you are trying to do given that you already have pres that aren't in your RM100. What are you trying to do again?

    Definitely! Might be able to turn the presence all the way up and the volume all the way down and not have a speaker connected, but I'd verify that with someone from Randall before trying it.

    Taking the serial effects send of the RM100 is the equivalent of a preamp out. You can plug that into whatever you would normally plug your preamps output into.

    I'm contemplating a Celestion Gold since I mostly use the combo for the Blackface and TopBoost modules. Would that have more mids than the stock G12T-75 in there?
