I think the 2:50:2 is the popular VHT/Freyette power amp. Also, with the prices the heads are going for (Ive seen as low as $400 unloaded) it's *really* hard to beat an RM100 right now, unless you are absolutely 100% set on a rack setup.

I would also add the JF OD Special to your list. I get some fantastic clean tones from mine. Unfortunately I don't have one to sell. Cold dead hands etc.

Saw a few of those KGB/CIA documentaries as well. Interesting stuff. There was also a movie a few years back somewhat related to remote viewing The Men Who Stare at Goats. It's all fiction but its good for a few laughs.

I prefer individual pedals myself. I like to tweak around almost constantly and have had trouble with the multieffects units that I have tried. Never got to sample the newer Line 6 stuff though, and I hear good things. Then again, collecting pedals is one of my favorite hobbies, so I may not...

Sounds like some kind of germanium fuzz to me but my speakers are crap. Then maybe some clipping from the mic being placed too close. Either way it's burned into my brain. May have to get the BYOC Large Beaver kit and see what I can do. Not sure about the .7's though. Going from .11 or .12...

Try flipping them around (+4/-10). I'm not sure what the deal is with mine but I think the jacks are switched or something. Hooked up "backwards" is the only way mine will work.

Yeah I figured I couldn't footswitch them, but having to stop and fiddle with knobs when I switch LP/Strat gets kinda old. As my collection grows I'll probably just end up with "Strat mods" and "Paul mods" though. Either way this is very cool.
