Keep your channel levels around 10 o'clock or so and use your master vOlume to get up to stage volume....I was doing that with my V2 and that thing was stupidly loud...PA loud.

My vote goes for either EH 12ax7s or if you want to splurge a little ectra cash, my V2 sounded its absolute BEST with a Groove Tubes Marshall High gain kit along with an EH 12AT7 in the power driver stage. You should get those JJs out of there anyways..they really squash some killer tone you...

I have sold EVERY JJ I have ever came into contact with....I find them dull and flat sounding....which some people may like.....I don't. I really like SED tubes, EH tubes and TAD. The TAD 6l6's I have in my Triple are monsters....i really want to try their EL34B's in my recto, too.

sounds to me like a cold solder joint maybe somewhere.....the longer the amp is on and it heats up causing metals to expand then making contact somewhere causing the amp to function properly. You could take the chassis out of the shell and just physically look for loose/broken connections...

Michael's live rig doesn't have a singe V2 in it.....he's using MTS's with a blackface for cleans, an Ultra XL for his rythm and another Ultra XL set hotter for his leads. He does use his custom Ninja cabs with the silver tolex and red lettering.
