    Looking for affordable donor module

As the title states I’m searching for a donor module I can send Rob at Jaded Faith. Ideally I’d like a Brit style PCB (Plexi, SL+, JTM, Top Boost, etc). Conversely I may consider purchasing a Hammerhead or Silverado if you have one. Let me know what you’ve got!

RM20 no sound after a couple minutes

Sorry for the late reply but in reality it’s probably going to be best to get this to a qualified repair tech to test things. Unless you are savvy and knowledgeable with this stuff I only mention this as there are lethal voltages inside any tube amp. In reality with what you are describing...

    Syn 50-50 vs Syn 50

Sorry for the delayed reply. In reality anytime we have a multi speaker cabinet the cabinet is only going to handle as much power as the lowest rated speaker times total number of speakers. So in this case for a 2x12 with a greenback (which handles 25 watts) as one speaker the cabinet is...

    SYN2 noise issue

In all honesty tubes are all over the map right now especially given the state of the tube industry. You really need to consider a few things: 1. sonically what are you trying to achieve? The tube in the Synergy or whatever chassis you plug your modules into is actually the V1 input tube...

    Smallbox module possibility?

I think that perhaps we should try to cover what the Plexi and Metro Plex aren’t offering that a small box would. Dave Friedman actually voiced and designed the Plexi module and my two cents I don’t personally see how a small box module would really offer anything drastically different at least...

Did you still have the Plexi for sale?

    Cathode Bias or fixed?

Appreciate it lord knows it’s been a work in progress for long enough :)

    Cathode Bias or fixed?

To my knowledge all the Egnater and Randall modular amps are fixed bias hence the test points and adjustment on the back. For RM20/22 you’ll use EL84 and bias between 15-20mV. A cathode bias amp would be something like a Vox AC30, Fender Blues Jr, etc. I wouldn’t necessarily say one is more...

Help with modules for cover band

I'd probably consider the Morgan AC and Bogner Ecstasy for what you are describing everything from killer cleans to hot rodded Marshall. An alternate might be a BMan and Slo.

    What would be your pick?

I know this is a bit late to the party Clean - Salvation Loneclean II (you get the amazing Lonestar cleans and a great Lead channel) Edge of Breakup - Salvation Matchvox, JF VX30 or the discontinued JF Chiefton Gain - Salvation Stonerverb DeLarge (this module can just cover so much stuff from...

    Salvation Mandarine = most punchy?

I think this answer just sort of depends on what exactly you mean by punchy and more or less what you prefer. It gets hard to answer this due to different ears, different players, different preferences. I chose the Stonerverb DeLarge as I felt it covered the most ground of all the...

    U2-mod MatchVox

I'm not familiar with a U2-mod version but I can say great things about the latest update to the MatchVox which is version II. It's basically everything you love about the original module and an AC30/DC30 amp but the Master Volume Bypass makes it really cool. If I have to pick a gripe with...

    Randall RM100 tube layout question

Sorry I'm late to the party but in case anyone else needs to know the tube closest to the jack is your V1, next tube over is for your effects loop, and the tube closest to your power tubes is the phase inverter. All three are 12AX7 in stock form, some may find experimenting with tubes of...

    Synergy Module Mods?

As a dealer for Synergy and knowing from Rob and Antonin that have modded Egnater/Randalls for years here’s my two cents. A lot of the Synergy mods are actually built pretty well and involve good designers to start. I’ve played almost every Synergy module at this point and most don’t really...
