I am selling an RM 4 preamp w/6 modules. (2) XTC (1 works as a dirty clean channel) MR. Scary, Ultra XL, Treadplate & 1086. None of these units have much use on them. Just plugged in last night & all works! Going to resist on ebay tonight, if interested hit me up today. Would rather sell through...

for sale 6 modules and RM4 all stock

I was just never completely happy with the MTS line and something came along that I am in love with and right for me. I figured that since I have toyed with the idea of selling my MTS gear for a couple of years any way and I just spent some big money (big for my modest budget) I should go ahead...

for sale 6 modules and RM4 all stock

Thanks for the heads up on that, I guess my thinking was based on the $ I spent for it all brand new & the fact that its all in such great condition...if it goes to ebay I may still try for that amount but if anyone on here would like to pm me a serious offer I'd be glad to hear it.

Its been a long journey with MTS...

My last $.02 to Mike P, if the whole you being a Dick thing on here today was about me saying you'd like it too then I apologize for assuming that you would like it. But if you want to be open minded maybe you should check some of your posts as you were doing alot of the same, I am man enough to...

Its been a long journey with MTS...

I forgot to mention that In my post I never said i know the producers, I actually said I have met alot of techs who in the studios & techs who are on tour. That is where my knowledge of gear being used comes from, the guys who set it up in alot of cases.

To Mike P, I am going to be the bigger man here and squash this... I'll say that everything I wrote is 100% spot on from my end. I never meant for there to be harsh words here. I will say that you feel that tube amps are the way to go for you and thats cool. For me the Axe FX II works out...

Not to continue you an argument (that's not what I intended at all here) but you keep talking about critical applications. I have the opportunity to get to know alot of information from techs both in & out of recording studios due to some affiliations so I get to know alot about what gear is...

Its been a long journey with MTS...

Curious, which unit did you try the Standard, the Ultra or the II? There is a huge difference... I never really thought about them until the owner of a mid-to high end studio here in my area unloaded Voodoo amps modded JCM 800's, Mesa Dual Rec & 5150 to get the AxeII. He told me the only reason...

Have you A/B'd the axe FX to the real thing? I have, in person, you'd be surprised by the results

Its been a long journey with MTS...

Thats kinda where i am... i make good use of fx, a pedal board wouldnt provide the flexibility i need. In my original band i do alot of ambient & texture stuff and honestly having an fx unit allows me to use some interesting sounds that i wouldn't otherwise if i had to buy a pedal and take up...

Its been a long journey with MTS...

Right now I am using my 5150 as a power amp, will probably look into a Carvin or something down the line. Also no I never ventured into the land of modded modules but to be honest if I would have gotten each of my modules modded (which would have had to be done to be happy) then we're talking...

Its been a long journey with MTS...

Like the title says its been a long journey with the MTS line but after 3 years of chasing tone with Randall its time to say good bye. I just received my Fractal Axe FX II and after a week with it, including going through a very loaud & long band practice I have to say I have found the tool to...

may be getting out of the Randall/MTS stuff altogether

I agree about tube amps cranked thats why if I decide to keep the Axe FX i'm going to be using my 5150 for power, eventually if I like the set up enough i'll spring for a tube power amp, something like a carvin, they are biased a little cold & don't color the tone as much which would work great...

may be getting out of the Randall/MTS stuff altogether

I have been working with the MTS stuff since 2007, bought the Head & modules, sent it back. Tried it again, returned the 2nd one. The a little over a year later got the preamp & 6 modules...though I have had my MTS stuff for that long they don't have much use as I could never get tones I was...
