You can absolutely connect the SYN-1 or SYN-2 to a full range monitor like the Friedman ASM-12. It sounds fantastic.
If you want to use an IR, then you need to bypass (turn off) the cabinet simulation. There is a small push button switch on the back of either unit that indicates “CAB SYM...
That is a very well put explanation... Avi (the owner) has a similar explanation... but essentially what you said is correct. HOWEVER, I have a call in to Dave Friedman to explain it more technically to me...so stay tuned, I'll be back with more info...Thanks!
The SYN1 includes a two position footswitch.
One switch toggles between the channels on the Synergy module.
The second switch is bypass - which routes the signal back to the preamps in your head/combo.
So the SYN1 allows you add pre-amps to your amp and does not take your amp's channels away...
Thanks to everyone that visited us at NAMM. The show was epic and everyone was pleased with all the improvements made in the last year.
The Synergy modules have a switch which provides three choices of cathode biasing choices on the internal 12AX7 tube. The modules will ship with the switch...
Hey man... sorry...no pics yet (we're working feverishly to get it all done in time for NAMM...so we're not ready to shoot any of it yet....soon...)

Also, we'll have;
Dirty Shirley (I did test this...
I most Shirley might be able to...there are several tho... let me check into what I can 'leak'...:)
the webpage...we're gettin' to it... I understand the frustration...know that there are only a couple of us...all working on ALL ten brands that we have. That's a huge reason why sometimes it...
