The Syn5050 is non-adjustable fixed bias. There are no bias pots inside the amp. After I couldn't find any bias pots inside the amp I reached out to Bruce Egnater and he confirmed for me Steve Fryette's Syn5050 design is non-adjustable fixed bias.
Bumping an old thread to see if anyone has any additional information if the Syn 5050's bias can be adjusted. I opened mine, looked around inside, but did not see any trim pots.
Anyone?

Synergy site will let you order without any indication that product is not in stock. That happened to me during the summer. Even after I placed the order I got no contact that the modules were not in stock. After watching my order status for over a week on the site I emailed them, they did...
So I'm interested in learning more about the tonal difference to a module when you switch between the 3 cathode bias resistor / bypass cap values.
If you're running say a Synergy Friedman or Diezel (mid - high gainer) module in old Egnater or Randall hardware are you really missing something...
Well it's safe to say they realized the price points on the heads, combo, & cabs was way to high at initial release. I'm sure their sales data showed the market wouldn't pay those prices.
Me, I'm running my Synergy modules in my JF RM100 & just got the dual channel mod kit from Paul Harwardt...
Ordered 3 new Synergy modules Aug 1st directly from B.A.D. Just an FYI that they are selling faster than they can make them (or so I was told by B.A.D. Sales). It's believeable since I've seen Sweetwater has been out of stock of many of the modules for some time.
Hopefully Sales are higher...
