There are two speaker jacks, one 4ohm and one 8ohm. I want to try a Torpedo Two Notes. Must both jacks be used? Do these act as an extension, or is the internal speaker disabled automatically?
I'm having the poweramp tubes replaced. They're dying. Its been suggested I get JJ's instead of the original Ruby tubes. Am I to expect any tonal difference between these poweramp tubes?
I can't locate the manual and there are a few different manufacturers. Precisely which 6L6's are the stock tubes? I want to get an idea of how much they cost. Thanks. Please direct me to a downloadable manual too. My hard copy has walked the earth.
Do Randall produce stereo power amps anymore? I don't see them on the main site. I have a Roland GR-55 and was hoping to find a decent stereo amp (keyboard amp maybe), instead of using a mixer. NB: I don't want a Roland amp.
There doesn't seem to be an accessories page. Does Randall do a cover to fit my amp? I plan to remove the grill fence covering the speaker and dust it off, refit the grill and use a cover when not in use.
Its a hardwired thing and I'd leave that to a technician. I hadn't realised Attenuators/Hotplates kill off tone. I will just have to play the guitar outside the room or trade the amp for a less powerful one. I think 20w is the lowest a Randall does.
I can drive this amp in a large floorspace and it makes my Boss GT-10 sound as good as I want it to. But I'm permanantly restricted to using it in a room 3.5m/4.5m. By fitting a hotplate/attenuator, I'm hoping to cook the tubes just as much, only without deafening myself. Unlike my Marshall...
I'm going for an RT50C combo. My only concern is that I won't be using the preamp, my Boss GT-10 will go thru the amp's FX Return only. I love the poweramp and speaker. My questions are:
1. Do a seperate poweramp with 6L6 valves and a Celestion Seventy80 speaker cab exist?
2. If they do exist...
