I think if you just run the output into the serial return, you shut off any preamp in the RM100. Like you're using it as a power amp only and can't use the modules in the RM100 at that point. It's "either/or" like LunatiBSW said.
I was going to post a mirror of speed2dirt's post. MarkX was the one that made me say hmmmm.. I put it in the corner for a while to think about what it's done.. Now it's my favorite module.. :? :D
I've never tried the TC stuff but the Gmajor was/is kinda the standard with about 50% love and 50% between there and hate.. I have heard reliability is possibly an issue that was helped with the Gmajor2. I'm cheap and buy everything used so I started with a Digitech ValveFX then went to a...
There was something a while back about some modules having slightly shorter boards and didn't sit exactly right in some amps. Rob has the description of the issue on his website in the FAQ section, warranty question.. Was it a new donor from Rob or did you send one in? Give him a call.
And...
Had a litte more time with it today and I'm liking it more and more. They are obviously in the same family but yes, there are definite differences/nuances. Messing more with the Plexi side today, it's similar to what I love about the JMP side of my 59RR in that the harder you dig in, the...
Got my JF XTC yesterday. Hadn't tried it till late today cause I **** near had heatstroke yesterday, fixed that with a dip in the pool only to get water in my ear canal which is now infected, followed by just a generally fucked night at work.. Bad times yesterday.
So hoping for a better today...
I actually just re-fell in love with my RM100. I got an RM50 with Mullard RI EL34's (35mv) and it was the first time I've ever played EL34's. I loved the warmth and focus from the first time I hit the switch. Going back and forth with my RM100 with JJ 6L6's at 32mv (or EH 6L6's, didn't notice...
I don't have a ground switch (ground lift I assume??) on mine. And the Master Volume Boost is designed to be used with a volume pedal but I (and others) have made a on/off switch with a pot wired in parallel to control the amount of boost. If you plug a single button footswitch in there and hit...
Yep. It's the board, pots, all components ready to install in the head/combo and connect. Look on Rob's site www.jadedfaithmods.com and there's a separate foglifter section for the full scoop on it.
Not re-inventing the wheel, this is well documented but wanted one for a bit with Channel switch and Master Volume Boost with pot to control. Played hookey from work and had all the parts here. So here it is. Turned pic #1 into pic #2..
Hey man! I pretty much had it narrowed down to the XTC and the Snakebite and after a flip of a coin... (OK, it was the fact that I lean towards Marshall this week.. lol).. Getting setup with an XTC. Snakebite will likely be next. Then Grailtone.. But XTC is in the works right now. I've wanted to...
I wound up cancelling the order when I saw that my local store had them in stock. Went and got 2 of them. Use the link and put in your zip code and it'll tell you what stores have them. This thing is awesome!! Very cool tool to play with..
