hey tlingen do you have any clips of your ultra xl or any of your others? i havent heard much of the ultra xl.

I thought one guy put kt88s in his rm100 and he didnt mention having a problem with them fitting.

can the xtc module get close to the jsx ultra channel just without the buzzy ness?

the jsx's ultra channel is really buzzy as well. Its a good high gain amp but it is a bit buzzy. Thats where im stuck, theres no dealers for randall in VA and im stuck between randall rm100 and the jsx.

would sovtek kt88s be safe to put in there?

i was thinking 2 sovtek kt88s and 2 jj e34ls with preamps of 12ax7ms. how do u like the ultra xl, and how does it compare to the xtc?

ok, i need my sound to be a little less dry and have a little less break up. i head changing the power tubes wont do it and i should look into changing the preamp tubes instead.

Does the rm100 allow you to switch out different pre amp tubes?

I played out of the rm100 the other day and the xtc module was the best taht suit me. I was running it with 4 6l6's. When i was playing through the xtc, i decided i need a little less break up and it was a little too dry. Would el34s or kt88s work better for my situation instead of the 6l6's?
