i like them all ,, especially the way they were used. ( not just metal ) what was the gain on the scary?...sounded a little lower than im used to hearing it...

stop making the head shells so cheap...i think for what the heads sell for new they should be made out of birch ply or something stronger...the heads weigh a ton and the shells are flemsy,,if it were were to be dropped from 3 feet it would explode...and the tolex job needs to be...

i have tried tried just about every non-tube and multi based preamp there is,and the conclusion is the same... they all do direct recording very well but when matched with a tube poweramp theyjust dont do it for me live and loud....they all sound transistor and thin..imo

yea the 100 watt celestions,, they really caught my eye...they aint cheap though...

anybody have experience withe the seventy 80 speakers that come in the lower end randall cabs?

i may take the plunge on the randall cab with the seventy 80's in it.....but i really like slant cabs....decisions ,,decisions......pete thats just too many cabs..hehehe

man,, everybody has a variety of cabs..lol Mailman1971,, how do those super v's compare to celestions?....those are modeled after fanes ??.. i like the power rating and specs of those... i thought about buying the cheap randall cab with the jaguar speakers and putting the super v's in it.... but...

im using a carvin legacy with the v30's......anyone use a marshall 1960A with the mts heads ?....i found a deal on one but i hear alot about the midrange honk they have...and some say they dont handle lows very well...
