What's funny is when I had this made, originally a single channel version, I asked Trace to build a cross between a II & IV. He knocked it outta the park. My single channel is out there in the wild somewhere. It's a shame Trace doesn't mod modules any longer.

I figured an old MIL SPEC tube would do the job, but figured it was worth mentioning. I'd start with a low bias and see how it goes. Good luck.

The MOD50 manual says use JJ 6V6 only. Can those tubes handle the plate voltage? It also says bias between 18-22, IIRC.

Yes. It really is a fantastic module. The dual channel is perfect for covering cleans to lowish-mid gain. The single channel could definitely get solid mid gain, but with the dual I really can't dial in a great mid gain without comprimising the clean eq. That said, one of my favorite cleans...
