Just re-reading this thread. Withmittens, what is a SuperVox? I do not recall that one..... And as far as Rob's AC30 mod, I swear by it...it rarely leaves my main rig. It has that nice Vox clean ring to it but also has a cool bit of grit if cranked.

I agree with Marco on the SAG knob. I had a rehearsal last night and didn't realize that the SAG knob had been turned up accidentally. I was playing fairly loudly and all of a sudden it was like "WTF? What happened to my power?" I turned the knob back to zero and everything was fine. It works...

I have had Rob modify RM50s and the change is noticeable.....not sure how to describe it.....Bigger and smoother? I also have a MOD50 and it is better built and just an incredible amp all round. I was never about midi in an amp[ but it is really a plus.

Thanks for the AB link JKD. I am still somewhat baffled by the power switch though. The manual says that at a low volume, the 10w side will sound louder and I get that. However, it says if you turn it up pretty loud, you will notice the difference and at that point the 50w side will be louder...

It is a cool amp for sure! I love that it is MIDI and with the SYN 2 I can switch between all four channels.....five if I use my dual SYNERGY DS.

I don't notice much difference in sound between using the old modules in the SYN 2. They all sound great. I am not sure but I am pretty sure that the old dual mods can be switched on and off in the SYN 2.

For future reference, should we talk about Synergy modules on the MTS module or Synergy part of this site? I bought the Dirty Shirley module and wasn't sure where to talk about it. I feel sorry for the tab marked "modules" as it isn't getting a lot of action lately.

My experience is that the depth control is kind of irrelevant at higher volumes. it sounds great at home and really fills the sound out. However at a gig, I can't really hear any difference once I crank the volume up.

I would never try and bias the amp as that is too far beyond my intelligence. I do like the Randall/Egnater MTS stuff as even I can bias that ****!

I have my SYN2 and FX in a rack that sits on top of either the RM50 or MOD50. It is nice to leave it all wired and then just have the two cables to the FX loop and I am done! Plus it sounds killer.
