I have a pair of swampthangs.they have huge magnets and can handle the high volume thump.they reproduce the frequencies perfectly to my taste.they sound great.But, they arent as transparent or as articulate as i like,so I paired them with two celestions and perfecto.

i'm old school. not so tight and focused like you metalheads.looser. not mud dy,just with some give to it.same thing on my clean sound.(spungy,maybe?!?).hard to describe....srv in the latter years had this characteristic. any takers? 1)tone: less cardboard,more cream...
