I am tempted to try my RM100 foot switch in my RM22 combo but I am afraid it might mess something up. Thoughts?

I am not being an *** but you have to turn up both the gain and the boost volume controls to match the amp with the gain boost off. There are 2 different knobs for the gain boost. 1 for volume and 1 for gain level. If that does not fix your issue I am sorry I do not know what is wrong.

I used to have one and I thought it sounded pretty darn good and like you said it was easy to move around with nice handles they have.

I think those were eminence legends.

I wish I was capable of doing this mod. A master volume pot on my RM20 head and on my one off RM22 combo would be such an awesome improvement as you would be able to crank the module's volume up to get it in the sweet spot!Could you post some pictures of the amp with the volume pot please.

Are you saying there is no noise or a lot of noise? Mine has so much hiss even with clean style modules I can't and don't play it :(

I have or had stock and JFM RM50s and RM100s. The Rm100s over the RM50s every day of the week. The RM50s always sound like they are stuffy and choked up. Lack of clarity. I would love to try a RM4/RT250 setup one day.

If I was going to down size I would get rid of one of the MOD50 heads and one of the 100 heads. You would still have all the MTS amps you need to use your modules in. I am kind of in the same boat as you. I have RM100 head,JFM100 head,JFM50 combo ,JFM50LB head and matching 2X12 cab,RM20 head...
