    I just got an RM20 combo with a Voodoo SL+ deluxe sear mod. It sounds quite good, but it is a bit of a one trick pony. I am looking to get a more versatile module. I play mostly high gain, so clean is not really needed. I have had and liked a dual rectifier, MKIV, ENGL E530, Peters warhawk...

    Clean to AC/DC without a boost, with a boost it can get some great heavy sounds. It is basically a classic Marshall lower gain sound.

    It might be a lot cheaper for you to run a Marshall power amp with the preamp.
