Ok, got the reply from David Friedman: "Blackface clean, plexi with a mod on it and the sl+ with a mod. The mods are the brown eye and the HBE. JJ el34 tubes." According to him, this will get you close to the OD100 tones.

Is there a difference in tone when using the same modules and cabs with a Randall MTS head vs the Preamp/Poweramp combo ? Ofcourse the RM4 allows 4 preamps and the poweramp can push a stereo cab, just wanted to know if the different cicuitry affects the tone and which is better. Thanks

That's what i want to know too. Dave Friedman designed Steve Stevens new rig and he has the OD-100's as well. I wonder if Dave Friedman could do a mod which would sound close to that.

Here is an awesome video of the CAA PT100 and OD 100. Which Modules can help me get really close to these tones, Hi gain, crunch and Clean. I think the PT100 and OD100 use either EL34 or 5881 tubes and that contributes to the tone as well. I did ask about a mod which would nail the OD100/ SE...

Am aiming to get an RM50 and fill it 2 modules which can replicate a CAA OD100se amp. I'm looking for glassy clean with headroom and a Hi gain channel to go from Steve Stevens to almost Metal/Shred. Just wanna make sure the tone is thick on the hi gain side. Custom modded options are welcome...
