resistors would you use for say R1 on the tube board on the module? im only finding metal film 1/2 watt resistors on mouser.com and they are either 200volt, 3.5KVolt, or have no voltage listings at all....

so i have this idea... it seems that c14 runs the voicing of the mids in the given module... so.....my idea is get a mini pot that replaces the c14, thus giving you a sweepable mid frequency. does that seem logical? of course id have to figure out the value of the resistor that couples...

as it states... im wanting to move to a rack setup, this way i can run another preamp(engl e530) into the power amp for a stereo tone... obviously ill have to throw in cash, so lets talk!

are you redoing entire boards for stuff like your deadplate and the CAE module? i could of swore i seen pic where you had a module with NOTHING on the board, and assumed you start from the ground up.. just curious.

i have a Randall RM100 with modified Recto and 1086 modules...running 6l6 and EL34 power tubes..with 2 spare 6l6 tubes.. Recto has been modded to Grail module specs, and the 1086 has been modded by Pete Turley with clarity mod, always on gain boost, more distinct and clear change with the mid...

im tempted to go to a rack verison RM setup as i can run 2 preamps, and run stereo rig to both sides of the stage... thinkin- trade it for RM4-RT2/50, and get either a m4, rm4, or an engl preamp to run side by side... what you guys thinkin?

what should i use for a low tuned techy death metal tone? has to cut, be defined not flubby(will c3 swap if need be) with tone and clarity... i sold my XTC to SacredGroove and have someone interested in buying my peavey combo amp, so that should put me up to where i need for a 1086 or Kh3...
