right but keep in mind that 11 is just amps, no efx, no stereo rigs, very very simple. Axe fx can do direct, into power amp and cab. BOTH at the same time, act as a very high quality fx unit, routing and I/O very well thought out, really, for what you get there is no comparison to 11...

imo to get the best out of the axe fx live, you need to run it as if it was a preamp - going into poweramp cab. This really sounds quite good. Going direct live, no matter what the solution, is always a compromise. There have been several clips and tests of people trying to pick out the axe...

disagree. Tube amps need swap in tubes to dial in the sound we want. We mod our modules, we spend lots of money in trial and error with tubes. Tubes amps are usually not plug and play, they require as much tweaking at times, which can get very expensive. Some people who own high dollar...

probally true, but on the other side, its possible to get an already modded module easier now, so you don't have to ship it off, wait, for the mod, and possibly save just a little money, so that is the good thing about all the mods out there. :wink:

I have/had both. I think both are very good solutions. I think the Axe FX works best as going into a power amp/cab, some very good possibilities from this and lots more sounds in one package. I mainly used the Axe fx for direct recording however, and preffered the simplicity of the MTS...

I am a mac Guy, mac's aren't cheap unfortunetally. Overpriced, yes, but I hate windows, can't say that enough. I compose music for a living, so I need a good amount of RAM, and a hardworking new computer day in and day out, and mac's just do it for me, so my new Mac is over 2 grand after all...
