Is there a more active forum?

In all honesty, from the time I joined, I've seen activity diminish shortly after (especially after Randall discontinued the line) There has been a bit of a revitalization when Synergy was announced, but that died down pretty quick

    RT2/50 & RM4 in Rack

For the RT 2/50 the heat mostly comes out the back, for there's where the tubes are placed (and freely accessible) So there wouldn't be much issues with heat, placing another unit on top of it

Improving sound of direct RT2/50 recording?

My first guess would be to get some kind of poweramp simulation going as well Tone is the sum of all parts, and you're missing a piece

    RT2/50 Tube Layout?

I had a 5751 JAN GE once, pricey little bugger ..then the frigging bulb failed within just a few weeks use :x while the various cheap *** MiC pre's I use are still going strong to this day

    RM4 RT2 solo boost

Your RT2/50 has 2 channels, you can make one louder and use it as a solo boost

Thinking about getting my last High Gain module modded

Still have an unemployed stock SL+ lying here, maybe time to soup it up a little Question is: in what? I'm leaning towards something preferably with lots of gain on tap but not compressed Where palm-muting rather gives a crackle than a rumble So I was thinking in the Salvation camp either...

Your Favorite Module Tubes for your Higher Gain Modules

Looking at the front Left is V1, right is V2 But also don't forget V1 in the amp you are using

    Modules for Lead Work

I actually at the time had the stock treadplate as well and there simply was no comparison, the UL was like Santana with BBQ sauce over it while the treadplate was a bland Rectifier I think a close module these days for the UL is a Salvation Legend (The UL is now a Angel+ and the Treadplate a...

    Modules for Lead Work

For some reason, I still miss my old Randall Ultra Lead The lack of higher range clarity killed it when combined with my other mods, but it's smokey thick character was by itself a pleasure to hear

Why did not Randall and Bruce get it right

The answer is quite obvious: "Money, dear boy"

    One of those nights

Your own ears can fool you Best way to find out, is record whenever you play over a period of time then, when you get one of those "bad tone days" you can reference to earlier sessions and have certainty if it's your ears or the gear

    RM4 switching problem again

ilearn Do you unplug/plug in the footswitch with the RM4 ON?

    Ultracurve questions for.....

Hey, it's yours to do as you want with it, as is your free time you don't 'owe' us

Salvation Masholdano FS with additional switch

Now, it may just be my taste, but in 800-mode, it certainly isn't some gainmonster

    MIDI

Personally, I would change that Series 500 rack for something more guitarsetup/gig friendly
  16. N

    MIDI

You are correct, I was looking at the wrong Moog Delay (the MF104 pedal, not the series 500 module) In which case my advise is void

    MIDI

If the RF4 were to send Continuous Control messages instead of Program Change it would only relay Control Changes #56 - #59 (channels 1-4 on the RM4, IF operated in CC mode) None of these seem to be used by the Moog, Bypass for that is found on CC #80 What you could use is a Voodoo labs...

Pure tube signal path or op amps in RM4

after almost 20 years of GAS ...I still cannot fathom the corksniffing of an all-tube signal path "Boo, the JCM-900 uses diode clipping, Booooo!!!" "Well, WTF are you boosting that JCM-800 with?"

RM4 as preamp with GSP1101 direct?

You need a software update I believe

    RM4 out question

Do you have all the same tubes in the chassis section of the RM4? I would understand the pre loop to be thinner, since it misses an extra tube
