    RM50 and MoDuLe cLeArAnCe!!

Yeah that is pretty rare. There used to be an 'I hate Kyle Needham' group on facebook, which made for some band humor. Must be a popular name.

    RM50 and MoDuLe cLeArAnCe!!

I need some money to fund an upcoming recording project, and something has to go. I've been collecting a set of modules with intentions of getting them modded by GigMods/Salvation Mods, but I just don't have the extra cash. So before I list them all on ebay, I wanted to post here to give true...

Drop D, C#: Whats the best gauge of strings??

I agree. I personally use EB 10-52 for Standard and Half down tunings. However, I feel like if you're heading down that whole step and whole step-drop tuning road, you should look into getting into a heavier gauge string set. I notice a big difference in my low end tone when I use the 'Not...

    Line 6 Vetta I or II ??

I should have read this far. This is exactly what I thought as well. I never could get it to CUT through the mix without splitting everyone's ears.

    Line 6 Vetta I or II ??

I agree with this. I had a VETTA head that I used for quite some time. I thought its tone direct to a board was great, but I never could quite get that dry tube head sound through my cab. I tweaked a LONG time, and I wound up going back to a MESA roadster and pedalboard. This way if a tube...

    Tourmaster and Renegade??

I'm gonna pick up a Renegade myself. I needed a great tube combo to drag to my many rehearsals with different acts, and this thing fits the bill. I didn't want to drop the big bills on a Mesa Roadster Combo, so I'm going with the renegade. Cool versatility and great price. I like the rebel...

    Clean mods

I'd run with the LONECLEAN. Its got a great crunch but cleans up very nicely.

    RM100 Dimensions/Weight?

I've personally never had a problem with either FED EX or UPS shipping. Not saying that I WON'T now that I've said that. I sell quite a bit of used music gear on the bay and I always figure on a head/combo/cab upwards of $75 for shipping across the US which includes insurance. I...

    5 New Modules in 2010

But then you wouldn't have that 'can't wait for christmas' feeling you had as a kid. :D And if Randall DID release some modules that sounded that good off the shelf, the modders better get some credit for pushing them in that direction. Amazing work.

Best tubes for Blackface module? Best mods?

The gigmods Blackface module is pretty fantastic. My cousin (LRStrat) on the forum has the blackface and XTC modules done by GIGMODS and they are super versatile. Pete has my vote for recommended blackface mod.

    Scott Ian modules news!!

Maybe randall can write a big ol' check to the modders of the world and get some better modules out of the box. Then they hafta worry about licensing, trademarks, etc. However, the Hammet and Donegan modules are pretty great stock there may be a better market for Artist Signature Modules.

    why no 5150 mod???

I agree with chuckmehh - the 5150 has always sounded fizzy fizzerson to me as well. I've played with one guitarist who's 6505 sounded good, but it had been through a tube change and some tweaking. Definitely shoot for the ULTRA XL or a similar mod. With a little tweaking, You'll get that...

    Salvation Custom 3

My cousin has this Module and it really nails that Megadeth tone ala' 'Rust In Peace', which was my favorite 'deth album. It can be a little scooped on the Marty side, but his lead tone was pretty bitey. Wondering what the MASHALL modules are like.
