what single channel modules offer tones not covered by stock Synergy?

    1) Stock Randall modules are pretty well covered by new Synergy offerings, I still have a stock Clean, 1086, Mr Scary, and Grail, which are most likely never coming to Synergy. 2) JF/Salvation still do a bunch of stuff not covered by Synergy licensing. I've got a Salvation MarkUs and Jaded...

    Post your rig

The 395 is my third favorite power section to be honest, the Jet City/Soldano design has the advantage of a full tone stack after the insert return, which makes the RM4 and modules really shine. The Sound City is loaded with vintage Mullard EL34s and has that massive Partridge output...

BB/BE, OS and Savage modules in stock at Sweetwater

Definitely look into the cathode bias select mod for your Randall, it's great to re-visit your Randall/Egnater mods with different cathode settings. I use an RM4 with the stock Randall/Egnater Fender setting and an M4 with the mod set to boutique.

    Video cathode switching sound?

Just got an M4 with the cathode bias mod yesterday. I did a quick sound test with an Egnater SL2X, a JF Twox and Custom RVerb, a Salvation TwinFace and MarkUs, a Sacred Groove SL+ and a stock Grail. The Fender (stock) setting has the big bass and sounds great with the clean Twox mod, while the...

    RM4 with RM22?

Bingo, that's the routing I use, I just have a jumper running from loop 1 out to loop 2 in since my looper has individual in/outs for each loop. I just bought an M4 this morning to go to 8 modules so I'll be using the looper to select them. I also wire my guitars with stereo jacks so the...

    RM4 with RM22?

Should work with any loop switcher, I prefer a programmable one so one loop turns on when the other turns off and vice versa with one button push. Here's a programmable that would also select channels in the RM4 via MIDI: https://decibel11.com/products_switch_dr.aspx

    RM4 with RM22?

Get a loop switcher, I use an old Rocktron Loop 8 Floor. Guitar goes to loop 1 input, loop 1 send goes to RM22 input, RM22 send goes to loop 1 return, loop 1 output feeds loop 2 input. Loop 2 send goes to RM4 input, RM4 output goes loop 2 return, loop 2 output goes to RM22 return, or to as many...

Got a JF Hammerhead module - Wow!

I liked the XTC more when I had both and moved the Hammerhead along, thought it was more flexible in the lower gain settings and boosted.

    front of the amp pedals

I use a TC Nova Drive in front of an RM4. It's my favorite into a Jaded Faith Twox module for pedal dirt sound. It's progammable with a screamer side and distortion side that can be flipped or routed in parallel. The screamer is a nice boost for Marshall/Boogie mods and it'll change presets to...

Line 6 HX Effects & IR loader

So this looks like a nice foot switch for your modular preamp: https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Line-6-Helix-HX-Compact-Multi-Effects-Processor/2APS MIDI I/O + 4 relays, 4CM with up to 9 FX and IR loading for playing MTS/Synergy preamps direct. Nice & trim little package.

    Tubes?

There are a bunch of unused loops on the back of an RM4, try inserting jumper cables in them an see if it eliminates the crackles. The normalled connections will oxidize over time from not being used and creat all kinds of flaky intermittent issues.

    What would be your pick?

We did this thread in January and my picks were Salvation Twinface, Sacred Groove SL+ and Salvation MarkUs. Just to show why I'm modular, today's picks: clean - Jaded Faith Twox crunch - Jaded Faith XTC hi-gain - Sacred Groove SL+

    Website is up

I'm guessing the Fenders are the only remaining Egnater design as they still feature the D/S switching from his last run of modules: DUAL<>SINGLE SLIDE SWITCH: The T/DLX module includes a switch used to allow the new Synergy modules to be used in older single channel Egnater and Randall...

    Production, website update

Tube Screamer, Rat, Big Muff, Boss OD/DS pedals into Clean, Twinface, and Twox mods sound pretty different compared to those pedals feeding the actual amps. Without the pedals, I find them pretty dead-on so I assumed it had something to do with the shared input circuitry in the amp itself when...

    Module not seateing

Most likely you just need to shim the PCB under the last module slot in the RM100 and it will then be 'short module' compatible. The 'defect' is your Recto PCB being a wee bit shorter than the majority of mods. The tolerances on assembling the heads were pretty loose, so you've got two slots...
