Tuki covers are great. I have one for my Egnater TOL50 and it has worked like a charm.

I run my DD-20 at +4 with both my amps in the series FX loops, works great. If it wasn't for the Boss Tremolo and Tuner pedals, I'd try the parallel idea form MarcoR.

That's not a bad idea. I haven't really tried that. I would prefer to have a master volume, though.

That's definitely a bummer... if you liked the tone you got with 50 watts, have you thought about either pulling the outer tubes, or maybe running 6v6 tubes instead?

I have a Marshall 4x12 with V30s that I love... how's the V30 perform in the open back combo?

Seconded, er.. thirded? I have heard this before with another amp, replace the preamp tubes and it'll go away.

I've measured supposedly 8 ohm speakers with a multimeter before and gotten less than 8 ohms, it might have also been around 6 ohms now that I think about it. The explanation I was given is that the speakers have different resistances at different frequencies and that 8 ohms was an average. So...
