Thanks guys. I think the bias for my jj6l6gc's are at about 33mv. Is that too low then? Also thinking about getting some different tubes. What are 6550 tubes like and how do the 6l6's differ to the 6l6gc?

Im not sure what is wrong with my Rm100 head. I'm not getting the sound i'm after. It kinda sounds like its under a blanket or something. Theres no punchy low end and theres no crunchy top end and note definition. Sounds ok within like the first 20 min but after that it starts to loose clarity...

Also what speakers and cab have you got? that will affect the tone alot. I used to think that my rm100 was missing something too when i was playing it through marshall cabs. Now when i play it through my randall cab with v30s it sounds like it should. Full with better low end! Like these guys...

I think i'm definitely gona get this mod. The other guitarist in my band has just bought and Engl Powerball and it sounds excatly like the tone i want! Can this mod get close to a powerball tone? Can an XTC be modded into this?

Hey. Can someone explain the V Positions for pre-amp tubes in the rm100. I know that for the power tubes v1 to v4 is basicaly left to right when looking at it from the back. Also where is the Phase inverter? Thanks.

Cheers. I've herd nothing but good things about Bodenhamer-electronics.com. The bloody murder is a popular choice it seems for boosting mesa's. I've seen they do a modded maxon od808 pedal. Would you still recommend the bloody murder over the modded 808?

So when boosting the grail for more gain, would you recomend a clean boost like a BBE Boosta Grande or a dirty boost like a Boss SD-1 ?

I've been meaning to congratulate you for that xtc clip. It's awsome. It has a very similar tone to Alex Skolnick's lead tone in early testament (Practice what you preach era) which is exactly the the lead sound i want. What settings did you use for that clip?
