    RG-80 112SC Issue

I know this might be obvious, but have you checked all of the wiring internally to see if it may be different than what was original (I mean as far as pathways and wires running together) maybe one is too near something it should not be... The power strip I use has a built in fault detector...

    RG-80 112SC Issue

If you look in the manual it says that if you don't want the other channel to be heard, turn that channel all the way down to 0. So to me it seems that it will always have the issue and that it was purposely built that way. If I am wrong and someone has remedied this without adding a switch on...

    RG-80 112SC Issue

Interesting. I was going to replace all the original electrolytic caps in my 1981 RG80 to better quality new ones to deal with a slight hum that I hear at low volume, but now am wondering if it will be worth it. From what I read somewhere online, it is not usually the filter caps but all the...

    RG 80-112 SC wattage issue

I am really hoping it is a typo! Anyone have the correct procedure for testing this so I can know what the wattage output is for both 4 and 8 ohms? Thanks! :D

    Need no-loss-of-volume-mod for RG80112SC

Anyone have the mod to make my RG80 not have the volume drop when pulling out on the tone knob? Supposedly the info used to be on this site somewhere. Just wondering if it is labeled something else and that's why I can't find it using search.... TIA!!!:)

    Issue with 1989 Randall RG100ES

i read this, but not sure if that really helps since he doesnt say how to do it. http://mtsforum.grailtone.com/viewtopic.php?t=8233&highlight=daughter+board At the bottom he updates and says that he thinks the problem is a wire quality issue. I just traded for a RG80112SC and noticed that with...

    RG-80ES Power Switch

This weekend I just bought an on-off-on switch at Radio Shack for $3.99 but had to buy crimp on connectors for $1.99 since the unit has a screw in each leg and you can't solder onto the material the tab is made of. Works great! Nice and sturdy! A hair longer than I would have liked (touches...

    Quick footswitch question (For RG100es)

I bought one of the voodoo man's 6 pin foot switches and it did not work. I must of got a faulty one. Did you open the amp and see if all the wiring to the jack is intact?

    Randall Rg100es XP?

From what I read about it, the XP has a switch that when turned on does not lose as much volume as the non XP units do when pulling the tone knob for added compression. I want to find out how I can modify the RG80 I have to not lower the volume with the tone knob pulled. I hear all I need to do...

    RG 80-112 SC wattage issue

Unlike all of the other RG 80 amps I see on the internet that say: 80 watts with one 8ohm spkr and 100 watts with two 8ohm spkrs (=4ohms) ...on my Oct 1981 amp, it is printed that it is 60 watts for both 8 and 4 ohms. What is going on here? Thanks in advance! :)
