randall rt100 vs stock mts modules

Thank's for the reply Yes i know the quality isn't the same, I was hoping that since they're from the same randall era that there would be more similarities in the design. You're probably right in that I would be better of waiting for an rm100. I'll probably pass om the rt100. Thank's again...

randall rt100 vs stock mts modules

Hi everyone. I'm thinking of buying a used rt100 head locally. I used to have a rm4 preamp with 12 stock randall modules. What modules would you say would be comparable to the rt100 clean, od1 and od2 channels? Idealy i would like a rm100 with the blackface, sl+ and recto modules, would this be...

    pedal circuit in module?

tschrama: That's a realy cool idea! Would be even cooler if you could get it to work! You've got to report back if you ever do ☺ The Rossness: Isn't the nuno sign randall head based on his marshall boosted with a rat pedal?

    pedal circuit in module?

It sure did! Just somewhat anoying that i didn't think of the first gain stage before the modules.. Hmm, so its quite possible to approximate a od pedal in a module. Would it also be possible to include maybe a gain and a tone control to the diode clipping circuit or a balance control for the...

    pedal circuit in module?

Ahh, naturally.. that never crossed my mind. But out of curiosity, would it be doable? Even though it wouldn't obviously be the same as i first intended. Thanks for the reply Rob :-)

    pedal circuit in module?

Hi everyone I've got some questions for any of you modders out there. Is it possible in one way or another to incorporate a pedal cicuit (or part of) in a module? For example, I've got two favourite tones which includes overdrive pedals, a marshall jackhammer boosting a sl+ module and a ibanez...

diy ideas for a Recto module?

I've got a second stock Recto module and looking for any ideas regarding simple diy modifications. I've been thinking about doing the grail mod I've read somewere in this forum. But before i do i want to know if anyone has tried any other mods to a Recto module? I haven't got any special tone...

    RM4 problem

Hi everyone.. My rm4 preamp is finaly fixed! :D Just want to report back to you all regarding my RM4 problem. The problem was a tantalum capacitor that was mounted the wrong way from the factory. . I can't be more specific as i wasn't told much more and i probably wouldn't be able to explain...

    Another 4cm question..

A switcher is a realy good idea, never thought about that.. probably going to go with that idea, it solves everyone and opens up some new posibilities. Fel kinda stupid not thinking about it myselfe. Thank you very much! :-)

    Another 4cm question..

No one got any ideas? Maybe someone got some similar experience with other 4cm mfx units? Digitech 1101 or Boss gt-pro maybe?

    Another 4cm question..

Hi everyone I'm reorganizing my rig and am in the need for some input and help. My rm4 preamp is beeing repaired, so I can't test the setup as i would like. My plan is to use my pod x3 pro with the 4cm, but I also intend to keep some of my pedals. I've got two routing options I'm considering...

    Book for modding modules?

No need to apologize! I'm gratefull for any advance and varnings :-) Regarding soldering practice, I've got that covered as my older brother have been vorkning with electronics the last 20 years or so.. he will be my go to guy regarding the more practical things. But as i said, I'm in no rush...

    Book for modding modules?

I'm aware of the dangers and i've got no intention in experimenting without precautions. That was one of the reasons my plan was to start with one of the preamp modules. Changing one cap here and there and hear what it does to the sound. That's also the reason i was looking at preamp tutorial...

    Book for modding modules?

Never though about buying a amp kit as a start, but that seems lika a good idea. My first plan was to experiment with one of my duplicate modules. But building an amp from scratch would probably give me a better understanding of the various components..

    Book for modding modules?

Hi everyone. I'm looking for a book to get me started modifying some modules. It's not only for my tone searching but also a way to educate me to a small degree in preamp design. Have any of you guys got any recommendations? One book that i found was this one...

    randall rm4 solid state tones?

I've been reading upp on the torpedo cab, and I'm thinking this would be a great alternative. The lack of a ss power amp simulation doesn't bother me that much as i asume you can turn the sim of. I't won't get any cleaner and transparent than that :-) And the ability to have different patches...

    randall rm4 solid state tones?

I've read read about the matrix poweramp and they seem great and regarding other more hifi power amps I've thought about those too. But I would prefer a 1u amp (like the matrix). I was considering a behringer or a ART power amp as they are easily avaliable in the music shops in town, don't know...
