I don't have a footswitch attached, so it is nothing relating to that...I have used a footswitch in the past just to test the feature, and when I engage it, the result is the same as the intermittent problem I am experiencing; master volume goes to full.

Cool. Yeah, I read about the 5751 in PI before, I'll give that a try. I assumed V1 was the 1st preamp tube but couldn't find a schematic to confirm, so thanks for confirming.

So, what is the general concensus on the best tube selections for the RM combos and modules? I'm currently running GT6L6GCs in my RM50, which seems to do a nice job in the power section, but I'm not 100% on what the amp based preamp tubes do and what tubes are best suited in these...
