By “parallel mono” do you mean using input A only but using speaker outputs A and B?

If you have the 5050 in stereo mode, but are only using input A, keep channel B on standby. No speaker load needed on the B side when doing this.

I'm not sure I'm totally following what you're asking about. Maybe if you described your use-cases more? The Two Notes can take a line in from the SYN2 or a speaker input from the SYN 5050. It also has a speaker thru so you can keep a speaker connected and bypass the Live's load. The SYN 5050...

Yea, don't see EL34s on the horizon. In that Tone-Talk episode, Dave Friedman and Mike Soldano were talking about 5881 tubes. You can use them in the 5050 and the 30w head, and Dave was wanting to use them in the 50w head as well. Not like it's a huge difference from 6L6s, just saying..

No, you can see the two LEDs, one for blue channel, one for red. Based on the controls, the red is the OD channel.

Got the DS module in today and compared it to the Metroplex module. Yup, the DS can get clean like the Metro can't. I had to bring the DS blue channel gain down to 9:00, with bright switch off. The bright switch boosts the signal and adds a touch of hair, which sounds great, but isn't completely...

There's no fun in only 2. There's even less fun when my wife accepts the delivery for another SYN2 and two more modules. We're about at that point right now. Unloading some gear as we speak. ;) Yea, Sweetwater had a demo module listed so I saved a few bucks and ordered that one.
