Anyone care to weigh in on these two? I have a Camerock and love it. Wondering if the Camerica differs much tonally, and is worth pursuing. Rock.

Awesome work, and thanks heaps for posting mate. I don't think most people realise when they demand "post clips" that there is a fair amount of time and effort into doing so properly! They all sound great, I'm interested in the ENGL and this has been most helpful. Thanks again pal :)

I'm loving my Synergy SLO, but have not tried the others. Compared to a JJDIrt and Camerock it has more low mids and less upper mid cut. Big big sound but still tight, great mod.

So I did what I knew I must - get a few :) I grabbed a JJDirt and Camerock, really enjoying both. I don't find the JJ dark at all, it sounds spot on with my rig. Worked out well, I have one set up for my 80's riffage and one for 90's. Good times.

Thanks for sharing that - yeah there's more HF on the Syn, some may call it raspiness. Other than that, pretty similar.

Fixed - a cap had been knocked and a leg broke off, easy fix in the end. All the values on the caps have been blacked out which makes repairs that little bit harder - better than goop all over it I guess :shock:

Ok thanks mate. Pretty sure there's something not right with this thing. Really lack in lows and low mids, weird attack and fizz. Does yours offer any clean sound at all? I can't get anything close to a decent clean from this thing.

Thanks guys, I too prefer the bigger head. Yep the Syn mods use the same thread size as the older ones but are a slightly longer, and have the smaller head of course. The Randalls are 5/8" length, but this doesn't seem to make any difference.
