    What preamp tubes do you favor for replacements??

    That's only partially correct. ARS relabels both JJ and Chinese tubes. Every Synergy module I've bought has a JJ in V1 and a China in V2. Look closely at the fine print.

    Yes, the JCM mode definitely has more gain. Rob could probably add the extra gain stage and switch. Just email him. I agree that I don't use the diode clipping or the haze switch. I do prefer the JMP mode. Sounds more natural and less filtered, if you will, though not as ballsy.
