    A clean module that's LOUD?

I'm a big, big fan of the T/DLX module. The blue channel stays clean, though vibey, and loud with single coil pups.

Is SYN inbuilt cabsim any good?

It's "good enough" to "fantastic" depending on the mod, the guitar and the sound for the track you're working on. With the Friedman HBE and my Strat using its humbucker, IMHO, it has that early 80's metal sound without any additional EQ/processing.

Errgh!!! Screw Problem in my SYN-1

Ultimately, I sent back the SYN-1 (and stuck module) to Synergy. Other than paying for shipping to them, it was a free warranty repair, though it took longer (about 3 weeks) than I thought it would. Now all is good and I'm ready to buy other mods

Replacement Pickups Recommendations for SSH Fender Strat

Hey All: I have a 1987 Japanese made Fender Strat with stock SSH pickups. They're OK, though a little generic and low output. Would like to replace them with low noise, higher output passives. Originally was thinking of the EMG Kirk Hammett signature pickup/pickguard kit but found out those...

Errgh!!! Screw Problem in my SYN-1

Thanks for the advice. I am going to try to go to a local hardware store first to see if they can just remove the thumb screw first. But I think that I might have to contact Synergy to get a replacement screw anyway. I'd hate to send the SYN-1 and the stuck module to Synergy just for such a...

    T/DLX vs BEBB

For whatever it's worth I LOVE the T/DLX. Very rich clean sound that supports pedals very well. For years, I played in a prog rock band that required me to switch from a very clean/chorus sound to full on distortion. So I used a Roland JC120 with various pedals and tube rack gear. These days...

Errgh!!! Screw Problem in my SYN-1

I wanted to swap out a module in my SYN-1 and the screw on the right side will not loosen enough for me to remove the module from the SYN-1. Specifically, the screw on the left side is ready to go but the right screw keeps spinning and spinning without further give. Any ideas on how to remove?

    Do I get into Synergy?

I literally took the plunge a few weeks ago and I'm totally sold on the concept and most importantly, the sound. I've been a studio-only guy for the last 20 years, looking for a variety of flexible amp solutions that sounded great and were convenient for a project student in Manhattan. I...

Replacement Cable for Foot Controller for SYN-1

Really loving my SYN-1 and Friedman HBE module. The cable for the foot controller is way too long for my needs. Is it just a standard 1/4" TRS cable or proprietary? Would love to swap it out for something shorter.

    SYN-1 and Friedman HBE - First Impressions...YEAH!!!

OK, got the SYN-1 and Friedman HBE. On the SYN-1, great product. Well made & I love the size. Biggest complaint was that the channel selector button was depressed into the foot controller. Just had to pull it up and tighten the nut. No biggie. It would have been nice if the Syn-1 passed a...

About to Join the Family...A Few Questions

Yeah, I run a studio; however, here in NYC, about 80% of our clients are hip-hop or R&B and thus little demand for guitar. Most of the guitar recordings I do are either for my own projects, scoring, and some sessions work. I'll mike up an amp for my stuff most often. But to save time, I will...

About to Join the Family...A Few Questions

Sweetwater just delivered this morning the Friedman HBE. They only had 1 left and the Steve Vai module. I will likely go with the Vai module down the road as I am a big fan of his playing and tone (my old drummer claims that my lead style is a lot like Vai's too ). I had the Syn-1...

About to Join the Family...A Few Questions

Thanks for the input. Most appreciated. Yeah, I have a feeling that I'll probably end up getting at least 4 of these mods when all is said and done. I've been very curious as to whether there will be bass modules in the future as well. I'd love to see a design based on the Ampeg SVT preamp.

About to Join the Family...A Few Questions

Thanks so much for the recommendation! I'm sure that I will be getting other modules over time but this will be my "virgin" module. Will probably be plunging in within the next 2 weeks.

About to Join the Family...A Few Questions

Hello All: I'm a long time player & studio owner and about to join the Synergy family. I do a fair amount of compositional work for film/TV and some sessions work, so I need flexibility. So I need an amp setup for everything from mellow jazz to down-tuned metal and everything in between...
