Good luck man. I've tried to find one for my Syn-50 and haven't been able to come up with anything. Can't even find anyone who has taken any gut shots of what it looks like inside.

Two 8 ohm cabs would equal a 4 ohm load. Set amp to 4 ohms, two 16 ohm cabs equal 8 ohms, set amp to 8 ohms. Not sure what kind of cabs you are running but usually cabs with different inputs means it can run in mono or stereo. You want to run the cabs in mono.

It's the tube for the input gain stage. My Syn-1 has one too as well as my Syn-50. It basically boosts the guitar signal and gets it ready to send it to the preamp modules.

I just want it because of the integrated power amp sim / IR loading. I was just going to use it as the "amp" and use the syn-1 bypass function to switch between the preamps. I just wasn't sure if you went from the IRX balanced out directly to audio interface or could you send the balanced out...

Interesting. I'm still waiting to pull the trigger on the IRX. This seems like a neat way to integrate everything. Too many house bills and Christmas presents to pay for before I can treat myself anyways. Cheers!

Anybody running a Syn-1 and IR-X together? Thoughts? How are you wiring it up?

I was wondering the same thing when I first got my Syn-50. I contacted Synergy and they said it was completely normal as alboz28 stated. I just leave it on standby for 30 seconds or so before powering it down and it won't do it. Worried me for sure at first!

As I think about it more I'm not sure this would be accurate. Without seeing a schematic, it would be hard to tell. Anybody else got anything?

I'm not sure but I guess a good way to test it would be to hook up an XLR cable from the amp to your audio interface and record a track in your daw, make adjustments to the density and presence controls as you play a bit and see if the changes in those settings show up in the recording. I guess...

Hey all, anyone ever open up their Syn-50 and document what it looks like inside? Just curious about the circuit board layout, bias points, etc. Can't seem to find anything online so far. Cheers!

I'm unfamiliar with logic or space designer but as far as setting levels of the unit I go xlr out to audio interface with the XLR level button pushed in and the cab sim bypassed, I set the main volume of the syn at noon and then set the level (gain) of my audio interface so the indicator light...

I'd like to try it out. The BEBB module I have has great cleans but the BE side of it just doesn't have the extra push it needs to be high gain.

Curious as to which module you were putting in when this happened. Did you try going back to another module and have the same result?
