My Rm100M came with E34L JJ's. You can have the head shipped with whatever you want. The switches arent the skinny metal ones but they are solid, I haven't had any probs with them.

Ultra XL is the best module I own, it has a great metal tone more distortion then the 1086.

Where are the amp's tone stack controls in the circuit tho, I'm guessing they are before the preamps distortion which would mean using the mxr infront of the amp would be 2 eq's and none after the distortion. Need an RD's input. ` If the tone stack controls are located before the preamps...

Thinking of using an eq with the RM100, does anyone know if the amps tone controls are before or after the preamp distortion. Hoping to go EQ (tone stack) distortion MXR 10band. Thanks. :wink:

Just asking cos I noticed they changed the ohms of the speakers from the old to new cabs and a few other small things Thanks.

I think you half the ohms on the head unless your already running 4ohms which means you cant.

Been looking at the MTS and XL cabs but I've seen the older cabs made fo the G2 series with V30's going for less then half the price of the XL cabs. Would the older cabs sound just as good for live use? The only difference that I can see is that the older ones dont have the mic eliminator. Thanks.

I know alot of people here are using the TC G-Major and I'm wondering how transparent it really is? BTW, even tho I know its wrong even tho it should sound fine, does anyone just run time based stomps straight into the main input? Line level really gets annoying after a while.

I had 3 blown fuses and 2 power tubes blow, in the 1st week of owning an RM100. The dealer would NOT refund me nor replace any parts, I was lucky enough to have a family member whos partners with CMI to get someone to look at it, so for the 1st week of owning the amp I had a total of 2 days...

You have the exact same setup as me and my RM100 also kept blowing power fuses and I mean 3 a week!!! on any power supply for the 1st few weeks, its running fine now tho.... :? I also have 70/80's and switch between EL34EH and E34L however the E34L kinda sound a little dull compared to the EL34EH

I saw the modded SL+ in the another thread, I cant remember but did you do that mod to the SL+ with the blue light, cap mod and marshall mod? When people are changing the caps how do they remove the old one? or do they simply cut it and solder the new one to the old ones remains? I've never done...
