My RM4 has developed some hissing noises and intermittent popping noises. I already discarded bad tubes and went through the process of cleaning the jacks with contact cleaner as suggested by Rob but the unit is still with issues. Rob has always been helpful and I really don't want to bother him with more emails, I wouldn't hesitate to bring the unit to him if I wasn't this far away.
