I was wondering if anyone could make a clip of this module going for a Stoner Metal type of sound. Thanks in advance.

Salvation Stonerveb...a little more money, but super versatile as well.....there are clips on the Salvation website as well....but if you go into this section of the forum a few pages there are some clips of teh JF as well, from when he first launched the module......

How about this? :D

The Salvation Stonerverb sure does sound GREAT... I'd also like to hear some clips of the JF Rverb though... to make an informed decision. :)

Finally got back to a computer:D

Sounds good, but too clean for what I was looking for.

Closer, any idea what your settings where? I wonder how much of the gain knob especially you had left.

Hiya,

I'll be making one here very shortly.....It will be a full vid on the JF RVerb....

May still be a couple weeks away but it's coming...

I'll keep an eye out for it, and keep me in mind as you mess around with the dials.

I have something on Soundclick--just a practice-session excerpt, really--but it's mostly self-indulgent shreddy noodling and probably wouldn't help you out much. I do like the module quite a lot, however, and I think it would work well for the type of music you're describing. It's thick, gainy, brimming with midrange, and has a subtle top-end roll-off that makes it nice for soloing. It's also very quiet and takes a boost well, so if you need more fuzz, you can always dial it in with a pedal.

I also had a Stonerverb for a time, and while I remember liking it, my memory is too poor to allow for a direct comparison at this point. I suspect it would be more versatile, but at the cost of, well, cost.

Dont remember, but I guess about noon, because with same guitar I did next clip, and as I wrote .... This is still NOT full gain! It?s about 3/4.....

The gain structure is too clean, but **** nice sounding. I've had gas for a Rockerverb for a long time.

Here's a song with the tone I'm looking for: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sO7VP34n2Ps. Skip to 1:30 for the fuzzy goodness.

I'm almost wondering if I need to commission a modder to either modify a Boss FZ-2 circuit to a module or come up with a Matamp clone.

That difference is probably mostly down to the difference in tuning and playing style.
Besides, these are miced tones, placing a certain mic in a certain position will sound less "fuzzy" than another or the other way around.

..and he knows a thing or two :)

Anyway, that Matamp, maybe.. Or maybe not.. Or ... maybe.. ;)

Now I?m got it.
You must buy HUGE overdriven bass guitar, ?cause this EW clip is not about some rockerverb :)
I play stoner metal too, but EW sound is too muddy cup of coffee for me, so I dont know if this sound is possible from stonerverb module, anyway I think that EW use fuzz stomboxes for it.
