Here we go...

I've had issues with my connectivity tonight, so I'm not sure if these made it or not. Hopefully they did...

These are clips of the amp by themselves, playing basically the same riff. I did NOT change any settings on the module between 'no mods' and 'modded' except for:

Changing the bass to the tightest setting
Changing the tone stack from stock to JCM800

Gain, volume, eq on the module and volume of the amp were kept exactly the same, as were mic and recording settings.

Here are the two in a mix - same settings/criteria as above. I did use a few mastering tools and reverb to make them sit in the mix, and I thought I used the same amount on both tracks, but the modded sounds a lot wetter.

I forgot to post the settings on the module for the EQ and gain - they were:

Gain - 3/4, bright switch on, bass 50%, mids 45%, treble 55%, channel master 75%. Amp was recorded fairly low (like on 2 MAYBE) with presence and depth maxed. As I play louder I cut back on presence and depth, but at low volumes I usually keep em pretty high.

Jackson DK1 Dinky with Duncans, cab was a 1960 slant marshall with mid 80s Celestion 85 watters.

So have you come up with a price?

I'm getting there. I want to wait until I have the custom faceplate and everything put together so everyone can see it, instead of an artists' representation. :) Since I gig and use these amps too, I'll probably even take modules in for trade against mods. Expect something early next week, hopefully.

I think the modded clip of guitar by itself stomps ass.

The no-mod mix sounds better to me than the modded. The modded mix is too soupy for my taste. If it were dried up a bit, I bet it would also stomp ass. That's just me though.

I think you're doing a killer job and can't wait to hear what you do next!!!!

Thanks man. I thought my reverb effect would stay the same between the clips, but it didn't. DOH. So yeah, the mixed mod clip was a lot murkier for sure.
