FOR SALE: Seymour Duncan Custom Shop Humbucker - Overwound "Hot 59"
For sale are THREE Custom Shop overwound "HOT 59"s. Same specs as a 59, but hotter, louder, and more balls.
Specs:
? Overwound 59 - Reads just over 9K on my multimeter.
? 42AWG vintage wire
? Full Strength Alnico 5 magnet
? Short Legs
? 2-conductor braided cable (full length leads left)
? Copy of sales order receipt included, to prove authenticity
Tone:
Everything that a 59 can do, but just a bit ruder, with a bit more bark and midrange aggression, while still staying in the vintage realm. This pickup is not dark or muddy in the least bit - the full strength Alnico 5 keeps it crisp and detailed on the high end.
I had a bunch of these made for me. They started out as SH14's, and were rewound by MJ at the custom shop. They sound killer in a Les Paul, and match up perfectly with a stock 59 in the neck. Sold off a bunch of guitars that I had them in, so I'm keeping a few for myself, and selling the rest.
Cost new: $70 (pickup) $85 (rewind) = $155
I'd like to get $100 shipped.
