FS: Gigmods 1087

Alright, I played with the RM4 some more and had a long shootout between the the Ultra XL and this, and I just think the Ultra XL does what I need. They're both INCREDIBLE high gainers, but the Ultra XL has a little more bite. The 1087 has a fuller and clearer sound, but the XL has the snarl I need.

$250 shipped.

I'm ALWAYS open to trades btw High gainers only.

I'll bundle the Ultra XL with this for the right high gainer. Angel/Mamba quality.

That's about right - unless I was looking to dump it quickly, I wouldn't go too much lower than that, if at all . . .

I just thought it was funny, we had just last night talked about how awesome that module was, and 12 hours later it's up for sale . . . :lol:

haha I know that's what I love about this place! Straight plug n' play it smoked the Ultra XL, but then I tweaked and tweaked and tweaked and now I can't deny the XL's spot on top of the mountain for me. I like a particular high gain, razor-like tone though that definitely isn't for everybody. The XL just does it better!

Probably worth what you are asking,but GM seems to have dropped off the radar on here....I exchanged some emails with him about a month ago though,so I know he is still working....I just scored another one of his Rectos...I think that one is his best mod of the ones I have owned,though I liked the 1087 as well..stood up well to the 1666,though the 1666 was nastier and a little meatier....

That's a shame! This is a great module in its own right, just not EXACTLY what I'm looking for. I remember the 1666 being, like you said, just a little meaner than this.

I'd trade for anything in the uber high gain range. I'd also like to try any of the Mark modules.

I'd try a Stein, Mark X, Mandarine, Angel, Mamba, etc. You get it!

Ive had a 1087. Very Brutal but not for me. That would be a cool trade though.

I hear ya...Ive been through about 40-50 modules since getting into the mts stuff......have narrowed down to the last few I really dig.....most that you are looking to try are cool,but as far as the krank is concerned I would hold out for a Kranken...much closer to the real deal and more usable than the stein on that front..but if you want brutal and versatile...great articulate tone is the stonerverb......

Yeah,you being a Zakk fan and liking alot of the more modern metal I think the stonerverb would be a great fit for ya....gets a very Marshally type tone but with a huge and chunky bass...very articulate....one of my favorite Salvos....
