getting salvation tones

You also need to realize those are RECORDED tones. The settings won't really matter that much live. You won't get them. You are hearing what the microphone hears.

My recorded tone hears what an SM57 and a room mic pick up. It doesn't sound as smooth as my live tone through a quad of well broken in Greenbacks.

This is not to say you wouldn't be happy with a Salvation module. They're really really good.

The symphony x tone is great,I have the angel just want to see how close I can get.Even in some of the recordings I do.I am looking for tones to record in.

Sorry for delay, but artist was not online :) SX way was following:

custom guitar loosely based on Ibanez JPM
body: basswood
neck: maple
fingerboard: rosewood
machine heads: Schaller M6 locking tuners
bridge: Schaller 3-D6P w/ piezo
pickups: EMG-89 (bridge), EMG-89 (neck)

recorded DRY and sended to reamping

Salvation ANGEL module aproximately
Gain: 1:00 (strongly depend on pickups)
Bass: 4:30
Mid: 4:00
Treble: 2:00
Volume: 11:30
Contour: on

sended back for Impulse Response cab (GHack, Catharsis) and finished.
