I just bought an RM4 and an RT2/50 (upgrading from my RM80 combo).
I've heard that the RT2/50 is about 14" deep, but exactly how deep is it? 14", 14.25", or 14.75"? That will make a big difference in choosing a case. I want a case that is either flush with the back or allows an inch or so of hang-over, because I want to easily access the back of the RT2/50 (and the RM4, which is 4 inches shorter), AND because a 14-inch case will fit just right on top of my cabinet.

Will he following cases will work with it? Has anyone used either of them?

Gator GR-4S
4U Shallow Rack
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/GR4S
# Front Rail to Back Rail: 12"
# Total Rackable Space: 14 1/4" (interior front rail to rear lid (14.25")
# Lid Depth: 2 1/4"

This Gator G-Tour 4EFX case also looks ideal, and is much better looking:

It has an interior depth ("no lid") of 13", and interior depth of 14.5" ("with lid"), which seems perfect, but does the "with lid" depth mean the same thing as the depth from interior front rail to the rear lid. Has anyone tried this case?

If you know of any other cases that meet those requirements, please let me know.

the rt2/50 is exactly 14 inches deep.

racks are subject to your individual needs. it all depends on what your needs are and your situtation is.
