Just for grins, I put a sweepable midrange in one of my modules awhile back. Meant to take some pics and such, but got busy with modifications and losing power for a week certainly didn't help matters much.

It's pretty neat though, keeps all your 'regular' tone controls, and allows some extra tweakery. I did it to 'fine tune' some new mods I was working on, and think it might even be something cool to offer.

So how does that work Pete? Is it a seperate pot/knob ro a push/pull deal? I'm would be interested. Thinking about having you do a JTM for me with some mods and that would be a cool one.

Could you do a 'super-mid-sweep' mod that is what you have described plus adding a 2 or 3 way switch for adjusting the Q of the mid band?

That would be pretty sweet.

Tommy, here's a pic:

How do you tweak with that? Screwdriver? I don't recognize that component.

Yeah, you have to use a screwdriver. Not really enough room in there unless I really mess with the module - know how the egnaters have two gains and masters stacked? I'd have to do that, which would take a lot of time - drill two holes, two pots, two knobs, etc. Since the EQ still works, the easiest way to dial it in is to hit a chord, adjust the screw-pot until you get close, and then use the bass/mid/treble control to finish it up.

I actually have a few modules with that already done, I use them to help figure out what values to use when I mod modules. It's easier to tweak a pot with a screwdriver and then measure it, and then use that value for my mods for folks.
