How does everyone like JJ tubes. Both EL34s and 6L6s. Thetubedepot is having a 15% of sale on some JJ tubes and I was thinking about getting a pair of each.
I like 'em a lot. Personally, have had no failures, even when a 6V6
severely red plated due to a bad screen grid resistor solder joint.
It still worked fine.
I think that JJ makes the best !2ax7 tube on the market...I also like their 6V6's, EL34's...Not the E34L, and their 6L6's...I've never had any failures with their power tubes....
I had a JJ EL34L go bad on my new RM50LB in less than a month. I put some JJ EL84's in an amp of mine and they rattled so bad I had to take them out for recording. The Sovteks that I replaced them with sounded so much better I never put the JJ's back in.

You have to buy JJ's from a reliable source that tests and matches them...Like Doug's tubes, or Euro Tubes...they guarantee them as well...Not from a music store, or from Electro Harmonix
