I bought a JTM from ebay and believe it needs repair. When I bring the volume of my guitar all the way up the unit seems to overload and the sound completely disappears, and then slowly fades back in. I followed the instruction per http://www.grailtone.com/guitar-tone-articles/randall-modules-modifications.html but the result was the same, in fact I?m pretty certain that R1 was already the correct value but I replaced it anyway with a 150 Ohm 1/2w resistor. It has a few other odd behaviors that surprise me. Like the gain seems to make no difference at all or it is so granular I?m not hearing the change because I?m expecting a bigger difference. Could someone recommend or direct me to a repair/mod facility in the USA that could make this a usable module?
