Mod for bass?

In my studio I sometimes play bass and need a real tight clean tone. I have used my JF Superclean and also a stock Deluxe module with the gain set real low. Anyone out there doing a mod for a bass amp? A dual showman would be kind of cool or an AMpeg SVT. I am pretty naive as to the electronics side of this but are bass tube preamps pretty much the same as guitar preamps?
Hell, this might open up the MTS stuff to bass players.

I wonder how hard it would be to adapt a Deluxe to a Black Face Bassman? It seems they are very similar.

This is in the works here in the JF lab and should be available in the not-so-distant future. I have been quite busy and have a custom product in the works that has to take the front seat, but stay tuned.
