They are almost identical except the RM20 head doesn't have the silent recording ability.

The RM20 Combo has a 3 position swicth Standby, Silent and Live I think it reads...there's either a load resistor or cab emul. built in for the silent recording function...ask okstrat about it....I can't recall exact details.

The RM100 has way to much output power for this I think....doesn't have one; as far as I know it's unique to the RM20 combo.[/code]

so this is mismatch in Randall informations, or old head hasn?t this feature and new version has?

This detail I don?t like so much in Randall, there is never exactly explain for RM20H (15 or 20 W, back panel, no manual on web etc)

So how can I "homerecord" without silent mode? Everytime only with cab connected? Or if I wanted only line out (or mic eliminator) is it possible without cab?

Wow...I never spotted that before...good catch! It's not on my RM20HP, so I assumed it was never on teh black heads either.

for interest answer from Randall support:
"You can run the RM20 head without a load, it utilizes a protection circuit that makes this possible, and should run just fine. You may utilize either the direct out or line out to no ill effect, with no cab plugged in."

Cool!!! why it?s not mentioned somewhere :)
