I have a Randall 212 MTS Cabinet with 2 8 ohm speakers.

What will I set the ohm setting on the back of the amp ...8ohms?

That depends on how the cab is wired. If the speakers are wired in "series" it will be 16ohms. Parallel will be 4ohms. It should say what the impeadence is on the back of the cab.

i think it's wired in parallel so it 4ohms?....but my RM20 is only set for 8/16 ohms!!...what can I do?

Ah ha. Just run it in 8ohm. Or get 16ohm speakers and wire them in paralel = 8ohms.

Your Cab doesnt say what it is rated at?

Check it with a multimeter for the Ohms.

Ok so i checked it with a multimeter, I am getting 3.8 ohms...So i have to set the amp to 4 ohms...but The RM20 is only set for 8/16.Do I need to wire the Speaker in Series now or is it safe to leave it as it is?

Its Probably safe as is. But the amp would run much more efficiant if the impedance was matched. I mean, you could be loosing power cause of the mismatch. So it would most likely make your amp perform better if you wired it for 8ohms.

If its 4 ohms, the speakers would be 8 ohms and wired in parallel. Just open up the cab and wire them in series and you would have a 16 ohm load.
