Prob with XTC module

I seem to be getting alot of noise from my XTC module I'm not sure what it could be.. I have isolated the fact that it is the module tho... it almost sounds like dust i'm not sure

What Russ said. Another thing you can do is swap it into another location and see if the problem moves with the module, or it stays in a certain slot. If tubes don't help, might even want to take a pencil eraser and clean the contacts on the module on the back where it plugs into the amp or preamp.

I've also had this type of problem when I was playing without the screws tightened...module works loose in slot.

My XTC is pretty noisy too. I don't know if that's just nature of the beast for Randall high gain modules.
