Hey man,

Very nice clips, thanks! I was on the lookout for a Dual Rectifier like module, and was thinking of the Grail (Grail is supposedly better than the Recto, right?). But the Grail seems a bit mushy - the Ultra XL, to me, sounds more articulate.
What's your opinion, what is the best out of these for a Dual Rectifier tone?

purrs like a mountain lion. What are you using for a noise gate? I just coughed up $419 for a Decimator Pro G from MF in an attempt to "tame" my Pete-Modded XL. No chance of me posting a sound-byte with it the way it is. Anything else in the chain of effects? Compressor, delay, etc?

Nicely Done!

Hard to say, Grail is tighter and maybe more useable, on the other hand Recto has nicer colour to my ear....

And I can recommend Salvation Deadplate or Salvado, both are very rectoish with additional features and options

No noise gate, but of course I always use adequate amount of gain...
Nothing else in chain effect, I try to do soundclips of modules not stompboxes 8)
And this was swan song for my UltraXL, now is in salvation?s talons for ....... we wil see
